O Lord, I beseech you to deliver me, and all of your children, from the fear of the unknown future; from fear of failure; from fear of poverty; from fear of bereavement; from fear of loneliness; from fear of sickness and pain; from fear of age; from fear of death. Help us, O Father, by your grace to love and fear only you, and fill our hearts with cheerful courage and loving trust in you; through our Lord and Master Jesus Christ.

Gracious God, my sins are too heavy to carry, too real to hide, and too deep to undo. Forgive what my lips tremble to name, what my heart can no longer bear, and what has become for me a consuming fire of judgment. Set me free from a past that I cannot change; open to me a future in which I can be changed; and grant me grace to grow more and more in your likeness and image, through Jesus Christ, the light of the world.

Mighty Jesus, you are the radiant dawn bringing life into the world, and yet there are those who would hide in the shadows and under cover, in the caves of the flesh, telling each other that the darkness is good, and easy, and comfortable. I pray dear God that you will send your Holy Spirit to all of them, to show them that the fearful jaws of their insecurity become toothless when seen in the sunshine of your Word, and that they might see the true nature of evil, which hides with them in the dark, to keep them company and whisper lies in their ears.
For those who have seen the light and shrunk from it, I pray that they may be restored, and that you will ease the terrible pain that drove them to hide from you, that they might be assured of forgiveness if they will only repent. Lighten the minds of those who have been warped by anger, by bitterness, by selfishness, or by the allure of glittering bangles of wealth or status or pride.
Have mercy on me, dear Jesus, where I have strayed; and bring your light to all our brothers and sisters, that they may seek your mercy also, and find your perfect and eternal life.
Amen.

Prayer for Ash Wednesday
Almighty and everlasting God, who hates nothing you have made and forgives the sins of all who are penitent: Create and make in me a new and contrite heart, that I may begin this season of fasting and remembrance of your suffering, by truly lamenting my sins and acknowledging my wretchedness. I pray that the ashes we use to symbolize the beginning of Lent may truly remind me that from dust I came, and to dust I will return, and that only by your victory over your suffering is it possible for me to find eternal peace and life. I pray for the grace of Christ, that I may obtain of you, the God of all mercy, perfect remission and forgiveness of all the sins of this life; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

Holy Father, who watches over your children by night and by day; blessed Jesus, my food and my strength; sweet Holy Spirit, the light and guide of my soul; I thank you for this new day and pray that you will watch over me. May my thoughts, my words and actions reflect the Spirit that dwells within me. And may every minute of my life celebrate the gift of grace, earned by the blood of Christ, in whose name I pray.

Holy Lord God, creator of all things, who has commanded our obedience to your commandments as a sign of our love: Look with mercy, I pray, on the sins I have this day committed, and in mercy make me feel them deeply, that my repentance may be sincere, and my resolutions against them steadfast. Teach me to understand the sinfulness of my own heart. Bring to my knowledge every fault of character and every evil habit in which I have indulged, to the discomfort of my fellow-creatures and the danger of my own soul. May I now, and every day, consider how my time has been spent, what have been my prevailing thoughts, words, and actions, and how I might can acquit myself of evil. Have I thought irreverently of you? Have I disobeyed your commandments, neglected a known duty, or willingly given pain to another? Incline me to ask my heart these questions, O Lord, and save me from deceiving myself by pride or vanity.

Lord, my Heavenly Father, I thank You once again for blessing me and my family and friends. You have healed our sicknesses and minds where it is Your will and You reprimand each of us through the use of worldly trials when we stray from the straight and narrow path You have so kindly laid out for each of us. I thank You Lord for your presence and for the discipline You give me when I err. As Your child I know it is for my eternal soul's future that I receive this discipline, whether it is money, illness or allowing Satan to deceive me, my family or friends. I pray the Holy Spirit will remain strong in each of us and we can carry out Your work according to your will.
Now Lord, forgive me of my sins and those of all who come in contact with any of us this day. Let our light so shine before men that they will know You are God and Lord.

Thank You Lord for Your blessings and they are many. Thank You for Your wonderful gift of salvation. Even in these times of climate disruptions and volcano eruptions we know You are faithful to those who trust in Your Will.
Lord, I pray You will forgive me when I fail to follow Your Will. forgive those who doubt and lead us not into temptation of the World. If it can be Your will, heal those who are ill and in pain. Guide us according to Your paths.
These we ask in the blessed name of Jesus Christ to whom all the glory and power belongs,

Heavenly Father, I pray today for all of my friends and family who are suffering from ailments of the flesh. As it can be Your will Lord, I pray you will be with them and heal their broken bodies, minds and spirits that they might be a witness to Your power and glory. Lord, forgive me of my sins as I forgive those who would do harm to me, my family or friends. Guide me through this world and keep me away from the temptations of the flesh.
Lord, above all, I thank You for Your Blessed Gift on the Cross where all of us who put our trust and faith in Your death taking our sins to the grave and giving us eternal life with You in Glory.

Heavenly Father, thank You for this sabbath day and for forgiveness of my sins through my faith in You and Your finished work on the Cross.
Lord, I pray today for those who are sick, injured or facing surgery. I ask that if it Your will, guide their caregivers and heal the wounds and sickness. Give them comfort and peace as they recover.
Forgive us all of our sins of the flesh and keep our spiritual bodies free from the temptations of Satan.
We pray in the name of Jesus Christ and for His sake,. Amen

Gracious and loving Heavenly Father, I lift my arms in thanks for the Grace of Communion with You. You gave Your only son, Jesus Christ, as the sacrifice for my sins and for all of the sins of mankind. Lord, while You lived here as a Son of Man You performed many miracles. The power of love You demonstrated over and over, yet we didn't come to You for forgiveness and salvation. But this morning I am turning to You and praying for all of my family and friends who are ill, lame or in pain physically or mentally. Heal their sickness, comfort their pain and forgive our sins and guide us to shine our lights in this world of darkness.
In the glorious name of Jesus Christ I pray

Lord, good morning and thank You for bringing me to this day to serve You. Thank You for all You have done and all You will do for me this day. I pray today for those who are sick or hurting that You will send your Comfortor to be with them, healing and loving as it is Your Will. Remind us daily that Your will may seem difficult from human thoughts, but it is all for our best.
Guide us through the day, forgive us as our bodies sin and keep our spiritual souls white as snow.
