The social innovation finalists
The first project chosen was “Ecglove”, a glove that allows health professionals to know the state of the heart in a short time with the aim of reducing care time in critical conditions. Daniel Aragón and his team of Mexican origin have more than 400 prototypes of the glove and assure that it was not easy to find the appropriate technology, however, everything is done with the purpose of making the medical review processes more efficient.
The next finalist project was “Caminito de la Escuela”, prepared by the young Mexican Sergio Andrade and his two teammates who built a web platform that allows people to easily identify, report and attend to the road risks that exist in areas schoolchildren.
The third finalist place went to the Colombian entrepreneur, Maribel Torcat, who developed “MIBKCLUB”, a project that seeks to encourage families to use their resources in a more valuable way through savings guided by the acquisition of insurance.
The three finalists from Latin America will have the possibility of traveling to Madrid to compete alongside the six finalists from Brazil and Europe, there the winning team will be chosen and will have access to coaching sessions, a membership to be part of the INNOVA network and 30,000 euros to promote the social innovation project.

In Mexico, the Foundation has executed a total of 27 programs through Seguros Mapfre, benefiting more than 480,000 people and investing a budget of 28 million pesos.
